| Jetty, Dinghy Racks, Oar Store, and Water Taxi.We have a floating pontoon jetty which provides clean, dry access to the creek at all but the lowest of spring tides
We provide launching trolleys for tenders and barrows to help loading your boats. Tenders should always be kept clear of the hammerhead end of the jetty at all but the lowest of tides and clear of the launching ramp at all times. Fresh water is on tap at the end of the jetty on a 15 minute timer activated by a pushbutton on the eastern end of the clubhouse wall facing the dinghy racks. Dinghy racks
There are a number of Dinghy storage racks on the pontoon and at the side and behind the clubhouse. Spaces occasionally become available -- contact the club secretary. Oar StoreWe have an Oar Store, for the convenience of members, adjacent to the club house (keys available for a small charge from the Steward) Water Taxi Service - (Independent - not CYC)The recent advertisement for the sale of the Water Taxi operation has resulted in its purchase by Ian Hunter, a CYC member with a yacht in the Harbour. Ian has acquired the business, but wishes to use the original vessel ‘Colne Ranger’ which is now owned and is being re-engined by the Harbour Commissioners. When the water taxi service is NOT running, the harbour staff provide a licensed Water Taxi Service using the Harbour Launches. The charge is £1.00 each way for BHC mooring holders and Visitors, £1.50 for other mooring holders. This service will only operate when the Water Taxi is not operating and in conjunction with other harbour duties. Call the Harbour staff on VHF Channel 68 or on 01206 302 200
