The Colne Yacht Club CenturionsThe Colne Yacht Club Centurions Membership of our special Order of Centurions is a terrific way for members of C Y C to help the club and also provides an excellent chance to win valuable cash prizes. Although only recently re-established in 2006, Centurions have already been able to provide new lounge seating in the clubhouse for the comfort of the members. What a difference this makes to the visual appeal of the lounge. In earlier years Centurions provided the eye-catching cast iron heater in the Bar and a number of other important improvements and facilities were also provided. Funding for further improvements is planned in the near term. As before, the maximum membership of this Special Order is 100 and we still have places available. The Membership donation is £25 per annum. The objective is to raise funds for the improvement of our clubhouse and to provide additional facilities for all of our members. Approximately 50% of the donations will be made available to CYC for this purpose. The balance of the donations, after a small gift to RNLI, will be available for cash prizes which will normally be drawn four times each year, once the membership reaches sixty. Until this point is reached three prize draws are being made with a first prize of £100, second prize £50 and a third prize of £25. Membership of Centurions is really important for our club.
