Presentation will take place at 1700 local time on Saturday 25th July
at the Royal Yacht Club of Ostend.
This event is to be sailed with the enjoyment and safety of the participant’s paramount, it is expected that those of a competitive nature will sail keenly and in a sportsmanlike manner. The Course* shall be:- Start Batemans Tower Line Colne Bar to Port Wallet No 2 to Starboard Long Sand Head to Starboard Finish Binnenstroom Bank to Port *In the event of light winds at the start, all participants are encouraged to make sufficient speed (even if that means using the engine!) to ensure passing the Long Sand Head before the turn of the tide. In all circumstances
the entrant’s time of passing the Long Sand Head Buoy must be recorded and
declared in case it proves advisable in the view of the Rally Committee to
consider that time as the starting time of the Rally for that vessel. All use of engines should be timed, logged, and entered on the declaration form. The generous prizes presented by the sponsors will be allocated, entries permitting as follows:- · First over the line · First on Handicap · First in Slow Handicap · First on Fast Handicap. · Engine Assisted No vessel shall win more than one prize. Novelty prizes at the discretion of the Committee, second and third prizes dependent on number of entries. In view of the objectives of the rally, the Committee decisions on handicaps etc. are not open to question and no ‘protests’ will be considered. Berths have been arranged at the Royal Yacht Club of Ostend. There will be no Rally Dinner this year.
Instead the prize giving will be held at 1700 on Saturday 25 July at RYCO
and Crews will then have the evening at liberty. There will probably be a core
of revellers in the bar at RYCO during and almost certainly later in the
evening!!! The cost of entry is £50 and this covers berthing fees on Friday and Saturday night. It is hoped that all crews will participate in the Prize Giving at 1700. Click here for Entry forms, Declaration, Agreement, RYCO Berth charges Entry forms are
